1) Treatment Description

You are being offered an injection of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), administered intramuscularly (IM) or subcutaneously (SQ). NAD⁺ is a naturally occurring coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism. This therapy is sometimes used for wellness purposes such as supporting energy and focus. Uses may be off‑label, evidence can vary, and individual results are not guaranteed. This treatment is not a substitute for ongoing medical care.

Less common but more serious risks include: infection or abscessallergic reaction (up to anaphylaxis), bleedingnerve or tissue injurychanges in blood pressure or heart rateshortness of breathchest discomfortfainting/syncope, or other unexpected reactions. Seek emergency care for severe symptoms.

5) Contraindications & Cautions

You should not receive NAD⁺ injections if you have a known allergy to NAD⁺ or any component of the formulation (e.g., preservatives), an active skin infection at the injection site, or if you have been advised not to receive injections. Use caution and discuss with your clinician if you have: bleeding disorders or anticoagulant useuncontrolled hypertensionarrhythmiassignificant heart, liver, or kidney disease, a history of severe allergic reactions, or if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
